ATI funds 3 agri undergrad scholars in CapSU

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Regional Office 6 based in Banga, Aklan has released the scholarship funds for three undergraduate scholars studying at the Capiz StateUniversity (CapSU). According to Dr. Eden Bautista, ATI 6’s focal person on scholarships, the scholars enrolled in three campuses across CapSU System have been granted financial assistance provided they pursue courses in agriculture.

Charlotte F. Contreras of Tabuk, Pontevedra, Capiz is taking up Bachelor in Science in Agriculture at the Pontevedra Campus; Jonathan A. Lavado of Poblacion Proper, Mambusao, Capiz is pursuing Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (major in Horticulture) at CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Campus; and Manilyn V. Villorente of Sitio Agkawayan, Burias, Mambusao, Capiz is currently enrolled under Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering at the Burias Campus.

Dr. Bautista said that under ATI’s Youth in Agriculture & Fisheries Program (YAFP) Scholarship, the recipients are enjoying free tuition; Php6,000 monthly stipend; Php1,500 semestral book allowance. Bautista added that the scholarship assistance will be provided only until 2013.
